Fenfluramine occurs as drug that was a share of the Fen-Phen anti-obesity (the more drug existence phentermine). As well referred to as Pondimin, fenfluramine was introduced on the U.S. market within 1973. These are designed to increase a level of the neurotransmitter serotonin. This depresses a central nervous system, regulating mood and appetence. A prevent effect occurs as feeling of fullness & loss of appetence.

A drug was withdrawn from either a U.S. market around 1997 when reports of heart valve disease and pulmonary hypertension.
